Elden Ring: How to Complete Bloody Finger Hunter Yura's Quest
Step 1: Meet Yura in Southern Limgrave
Yura is first encountered northeast of the Seaside Ruins Site of Grace, under a broken structure near Agheel Lake. When you approach him, he warns you about the dangers of the lake, specifically the threat posed by Flying Dragon Agheel. Speaking to Yura here is required to initiate his questline. If you skip this interaction, it can block his appearances later in the game.
Optional: Defeating Flying Dragon Agheel at Agheel Lake before progressing the quest will trigger new dialogue from Yura. He'll acknowledge your strength and inform you of the Church of Dragon Communion, where you can use the dragon's heart to gain powerful Elden Ring Items tied to dragon powers.
Step 2: Battle Bloody Finger Nerijus
Progress north toward Murkwater Cave, and you'll be invaded by Bloody Finger Nerijus. This encounter is required for the questline. If you spoke with Yura earlier, he may appear as a white summon sign during the fight and assist you in defeating the invader. After the battle, head a bit further north and locate Yura again under another ruined archway near the river. Here, he shares more about his role as a hunter of Bloody Fingers.
After this dialogue, he'll eventually return to his initial location near the Seaside Ruins. Make sure to exhaust all his dialogue options, as this sets the stage for his next appearance.
Step 3: Raya Lucaria
To continue Yura's storyline, head to the Main Academy Gate Site of Grace in Raya Lucaria. Travel north from the grace and past the magic barrier seal to find a red summon sign near a broken part of the bridge. Interact with it to enter Yura's world and help him defeat Bloody Finger Ravenmount Assassin.
Winning this fight earns you several rewards: Ash of War: Raptor of the Mists, a Rune Arc, and a Furlcalling Finger Remedy, all useful Elden Ring Items for PvP and PvE alike. Afterward, you can find Yura standing nearby. Speak to him to receive a Smithing Stone, another valuable item for upgrading your gear.
Tip: You must speak with Yura at least once in Limgrave for him to appear in Raya Lucaria. Skipping earlier steps can cause this part of the quest to be inaccessible.
If you progress too far in the main story without triggering this encounter, Yura may disappear, but you can still retrieve his weapon, Nagakiba, from one of several fallback locations: his initial camp near Seaside Ruins, the Murkwater tunnel, or near the bridge by the Main Academy Gate.
Step 4: Second Church of Marika and Eleonora's Invasion
Later in the game, Yura will appear at the Second Church of Marika on the Altus Plateau. Speak to him here to receive the Nagakiba katana. However, your conversation is cut short when Eleonora, Violet Bloody Finger, invades. Defeating her rewards you with several powerful Elden Ring Items:
Eleonora's Poleblade – a unique twinblade with blood loss and fire damage.
Purifying Crystal Tear – a key component for mixed Physick customization.
Furlcalling Finger Remedy
This is a pivotal moment in Yura's quest, as it leads directly into the final phase of his story.
Step 5: Shabriri and the Path of Frenzied Flame
After Eleonora's defeat, Yura's body is eventually overtaken by Shabriri, a sinister figure associated with the Frenzied Flame. You'll find him at the Zamor Ruins Site of Grace in the Mountaintops of the Giants. Shabriri tries to lure you into embracing the chaotic path of the Three Fingers.
You have two choices:
Kill Shabriri to acquire the Ronin's Set, a full armor set once worn by Yura.
Accept the Frenzied Flame from the Three Fingers. In this case, the Ronin's Set will automatically appear on the ground where Shabriri once stood.
Regardless of your choice, this marks the end of Yura's storyline.
Alternate Outcomes and Missable Details
Even if you miss key moments in the quest, many of the core Elden Ring Items can still be obtained:
If Yura never appears at the Second Church of Marika, Eleonora will still invade and drop her usual rewards.
If you fail to meet Yura early on, Nagakiba can still be found at one of his known locations.
Yura will permanently disappear after you enter the Grand Lift of Rold if the quest has not been properly progressed.
Conclusion
Yura's quest in Elden Ring is a rewarding and emotional side journey through betrayal, conviction, and ultimately possession. Along the way, you'll earn some of the game's most sought-after Elden Ring Runes and Elden Ring Items, including rare weapons, powerful Ashes of War, and unique talismans. Be sure to follow the quest closely to avoid missing out on this compelling storyline and its generous loot.
