Raven 2 Guide: Town NPCs, Merchants, Rapport and Essential Services
In Raven 2, towns are your central hub for preparing before battle and recovering afterward. By interacting with various Town NPCs, you can buy and sell goods, store items, recover lost experience, and even increase your standing with key merchants. Whether you need to stock up on potions, buy Raven 2 Crystal for premium services or item recovery, or unlock new purchase options through Rapport, towns offer everything you need. This guide walks you through every essential town service.
1. Interacting with NPCs
To use any town service, simply tap (or click) on the desired NPC. This will start a conversation and open their respective menu. Each NPC type offers unique functions, from selling potions to restoring lost EXP.
2. Merchant Types & Trading
Different merchants specialize in different item categories. You can both purchase from and sell items to them.
Miscellany Merchant: Sells potions, food, scrolls, and other consumables.
Equipment Merchant: Sells weapons, armor, and accessories.
Skill Merchant: Sells skill books and skill materials.
Bestiary Merchant: Allows you to exchange Bestiary Coins (obtained by salvaging Codex materials) for Bestiary Chests.
Rune Merchant: Sells rune crafting and enhancement materials.
Note: You must increase the merchant's Rapport to unlock purchases.
3. Storage Keeper – Managing Your Inventory
The Storage Keeper allows you to safely store items you don't wish to carry.
Expand slots: Use the [+] button at the bottom of the storage screen to add more space.
Auto-Select: If you already have stored items, use "Auto Select" to automatically move matching items from your inventory into storage.
4. Restoration Priest – Recovering Lost EXP
If you die, you lose some experience. The Restoration Priest helps you get it back.

Daily limit: Free recovery can be used up to 5 times per day.
Reset time: Daily at 20:00 (UTC+0).
After free attempts: Use Crystals or a "Prayer of Regeneration" item.
Important: Cruel Karma Tier players cannot use the Prayer of Regeneration.
5. Special Corps Heralds – Special Corps Missions
Accept Special Corps Missions through Special Corps Heralds.
For detailed mechanics, refer to the separate [Special Corps Mission Guide].
6. Rapport System – Earning Merchant Trust
Rapport is a reputation system with certain NPC merchants. Increasing your rapport unlocks better items and rewards.
Important exceptions: Rapport is not applied to Abyss Exchange Merchants, Roaming Merchants, or Merchants in the Frozen Wastes of Silence.
Rapport Levels (from lowest to highest
Awareness – Starting level
Interest
Intimacy
Trust
Affection – Highest level
As your rapport level increases, you receive tier rewards and unlock new purchase options from that merchant type.
How to Increase Rapport
Give gifts to eligible merchants.
Each merchant accepts different types of gift items.
You can give gifts a limited number of times per day.
Tip: Giving a specific quantity of a certain item grants bonus rapport points.
Daily reset time: 20:00 (UTC+0)
Rapport Sharing by Merchant Type
Rapport is shared among merchants of the same type. Raising rapport with one merchant automatically raises it for all others of that type.
Example: Velucia, Mary, Deron, Phoebe, Romern, Monica, Abyss, and Lujiel are all Miscellany Merchants. This means they all share the same rapport level. Increasing your standing with Velucia also increases it with Mary, Deron, and the others.
